Visit Hilltop Orchards
“The property is spectacular, the cider and wine were delicious, the donuts were YUM, and our host Sara was one of the most incredible souls I’ve ever met.”
Plan your escape.
Hilltop Orchards is where memories are made. Plan a day of cider sipping and wine tasting in the splendor of the Berkshires.
The aroma of freshly made apple cider donuts will greet you as you walk in the door. Hike the rolling hills among the apple trees and on our professionally designed woodland trails. Relax and rejuvenate on our sunny patio or by the cozy, wood-burning fireplace.
Tour our cidery where fresh apples are turned into a delicious golden liquid right here on the property. You can see the entire grow-press-ferment-age-can process right here because, unlike most other cideries, we do every step right here at the orchard.
Cider and Wine Tastings
Let David and Sara guide you through your personalized cider and wine tasting experience. Experience the flavor of authentic Johnny Mash cider, made using traditional New England recipes, and modern bold apple ciders, such as our new Coconut Lime flavor. We craft over 15 Grape Varietal Wines that are available daily.
Cidery Tours
From orchard to can, see how we transformed one of New England’s oldest cideries into a state-of-the-art artisanal cidery. Tours can be arranged by appointment.
Every step is done right here. Fresh apples are cold-pressed using the traditional rack and cloth method that gets the best out of every apple. The cider ferments slowly and then ages in oak for superior flavor. We can in small batches right here to preserve the perfect flavor and aroma.
Hikes and Strolls
Explore the glorious beauty of the Berkshires. Hike, stroll or snowshoe across our 200-acre orchard with 27 different varieties of apples and on the woodland trails designed by world-renown trail architect John Morton.
It is the perfect activity for the entire family with trails for all abilities. Children and dogs (on a leash, of course) are welcome every day. At the top, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of three states.
Relax and Rejuvenate
Smell the cinnamon aroma of freshly made donuts. Savor the sweet orchard-made fresh apple cider for the family and cider or wine for the adults.
Bask in the sun on a comfortable Adirondack chair or sit in the Normandy Gazebo with its airy breezes. Or, warm yourself on the leather couch by our cozy wood-burning fireplace. Make it an afternoon to remember.
